1. Pray Regularly
1 Thessalonians 5:17 “Pray without ceasing.”
Cultivate a continuous conversation with God throughout your day, talking to Him in moments both big and small.
2. Pray Comprehensively
Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything.”
There are no limits to what you can bring before God. Pray about every concern, big or small, and experience His peace reigning in your heart.
3. Pray Conversationally
Jeremiah 29:12 “Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.”
Pray in various postures, times, and settings. The essence is a conversational relationship with God, talking to Him like a friend.
4. Pray Intentionally
Matthew 6:6 “But when you pray, go into your room, close the door and pray to your Father, who is unseen.”
While maintaining conversation with God throughout the day, intentionally set aside specific times for focused, undistracted prayer, going deeper in your relationship with Him.
5. Pray Boldly
1 Chronicles 4:10 “Jabez cried out to the God of Israel, ‘Oh, that you would bless me and enlarge my territory!’”
Don’t shy away from bold prayers; ask God for blessings, expansion, and transformation in your life and the lives of those around you.
6. Pray Expectantly
James 5:16 “The prayer of the righteous is powerful and effective.”
Connect prayer with faith. Believe in the power of your prayers, trusting that God hears and responds according to His perfect will.
7. Pray Persistently
Luke 18:1 “Then Jesus told his disciples a parable to show them that they should always pray and not give up.”
Be persistent in prayer. Keep knocking on the door of heaven, trusting God’s timing and purposes.
8. Pray Authoritatively
John 14:13-14 “And I will do whatever you ask in my name, so that the Son may bring glory to the Father. You may ask me for anything in my name, and I will do it.”
Pray in the authority of Jesus, speaking to your circumstances and boldly declaring His will in your life.
9. Pray Powerfully
Isaiah 58:6-8 “Is this not the fast that I have chosen: To loose the bonds of wickedness... Your healing shall spring forth speedily.”
Combine fasting with prayer for spiritual breakthroughs, breaking strongholds, and experiencing healing.
10. Pray Gratefully
Philippians 4:6 “Don’t worry about anything... and don’t forget to thank him for his answers.”
Approach prayer with gratitude, thanking God for His answers before they even manifest.
11. Pray Inquisitively
James 1:5 “If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God.”
Seek God’s wisdom in your prayers, asking for guidance, understanding, and clarity in various aspects of your life.
12. Pray Collectively
Matthew 18:19-20 “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by My Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in My name, I am there in the midst of them.”
Pray together with family, friends, and small groups, recognizing the power of collective prayer and the presence of God in your midst.
